Puskar Gurung

Mr Puskar Bahadur Gurung is an actor, artistic director and organizer of theatre festivals, seminars and workshops. As a trainer of acting and skill development, he has been working in the realm of theatre culture for 40 years. During his theatrical journey, he has worked in both proscenium and community theatre and visited more than 60 districts of the country. In this connection, Mr Gurung has encouraged many young people to create theatre groups to carry out theatre trend in 5 development regions of the country. He has created and organized Talk programme: “Theatre Crisis in Nepal” (1996), Symposium: “Past, Present and Future of Nepali Theatre” (1999), Talk programme: “Heritage of Nepali Theatre” (2000) and NIB (Nepal India Bangladesh) Theatre Festival (2004) which was the turning point of Nepali Theatre today. He was an Academician for the Nepal Academy of Music and Drama (2016 – 2019).
